I havent done it, but would assume you could pay your one day membership ($30) and download all the BMW TIS you want. Legally also.
www.bmwtis.com I am a little screwed since I have a 323i (Canadian market only) and the website is USA only |

Has anybody signed up for the TIS membership and downloaded the manual? Just wanted to verify anybody can pay the fee and use it. And make sure it has all the latest manuals for our cars.
I'd be very willing to pay the $30 subscription if it meant having a complete manual for my car. |

The biggest issue is many procedures have sub-procedures that are hyper-linked into the main procedure you've pulled up. When down loading you have to down load all the sub-procedures as well. I copied a lot of mine into Word and then copied the sub-procedures and added them to the main procedure in the right location (in the procedure). If you have the time (on a rainy day) it's well worth the effort. Also, I'd expect the TIS will have repair procedures for parts of the car the aftermarket manuals will not (once they are published), and it lists special tools. However, if you want the basic stuff I'd just wait for the Bently manual to come out. I've attached a sample of a procedure I made from the TIS. |

Paid for the access to TIS this past weekend and got a bunch of info. They definitely make you work for it. Maybe eventually we can legitimately buy a full manual like most other cars.
FYI, I installed a PDF print driver and was able to print the web pages right to PDF. I have Adobe reader but used the free bulldog PDF printer to save the pages. |
