Hey long, can you make a new thread summarizing the rest of it or modify the first post here to include more info on this mod?

Things like how long it takes to install, how far you have to take the car apart, some install pics, etc.

Yes, the instructions are very easy to follow, and if you can change your car's engine oil and filter, this is not much more difficult.

You're trying to make a buck?

I cant immagine that by posting the instructions you are going to incourage people to make their own lighting setups, especially since you setup is only 30 bucks. Posting them will allow someone to see how indepth the install is, and if they want to change the part considering its complexity of install and removal.

Im longtran's manager. Prices are same for all except for black.

only simple tools are required. socket wrench, torx screwdriver, flat head screwdriver. thats about all you need. For any further info, order the PMBs, and you'll receive detailed instructions. instruction is heavily copy-righted. don't ask anymore questions related to installation procedure. you'll get hurt. (j/k).

5 bucks for parts and 25 for instructions...

Either way, it doesnt matter. I just want more info on what needs to get done to get them in there. If I see that I'm capable and I want the parts in my car, I'll paypal the money even if I make my own kit. And if I make my own kit, yall will know.

At any rate, long you need to get a patent for something like this.

if you have opposable thumbs, no time constraint for the day really, and are literate you are able to do it.

prior to this i only removed my ecu from my old car, and put on an intake.

i was able to do this fine.

just get it in hyperwhite and call it a day.

Poldim: I'm about the laziest, most DIY-challenged person here (case in point, I had to have my blacklines installed for me) but I managed to pull it off (well mostly, had bavarian19's help again)

Its not hard but it does take some time and common sense...I won't lie to you, even with Long's excellent and detailed instructions, there were some head-scratching moments (in my case) but overall, I pulled it off so some encouragement for you

longtran.

After purchasing, receiving and installing your kit, im impressed with the simple yet effective mod.

HOWEVER, the glass that you provide us with, is it UV coated?

The reason behind the glass in the first place on stock BMW's is to Protect the Halogen light bulbs UV's from damaging the plastic halos. Please tell me they are UV protected.

The OEM lens or glass or whatever is not designed to protect the halos...light source is low-heat and low-wattage so there is no need, they are dichroic filters, probably helps to disperse the light better. Dichroic filters/lens have very good heat resistance (multi layers) if that'll help ease your concern...
