Anyone using LED fog lights?
If so, any error codes. I saw a previous post a few months back, but there wasn't a lot of info in it, and what there was, was contradictory. And before anyone says it, I know the light output is diminished.
Website says plug and play, but doesn't touch on any errors. http://www.ijdmtoy.com/webpage/products/LED_bulbs.htm

Looks...that's exactly it. With the great light output of the xenons, the halogen fogs are really not that functional/helpful in my opinion, so why not make them prettier

Interesting how it's often looks over function. Could you imagine going over to someone's house, only to find every lamp in their house had been switched to fluorescent or led? The light is not pleasing as good ol' incandescent. Then they justify it by saying the bulbs last longer or use less energy. True, but sure gives off an annoying type of light. The biggest joke is the LED flashlight--expensive, but when the day is done, doesn't help one to see at night (isn't that what a flashlight is supposed to do?).
Personally I can't stand those Audis Jags etc. going down the road on a clear night with their rear fog lamps on. Wish DOT would ban them! We're not on the autobahn here.... On my other car I had to pay to replace the LED strip for the 3rd brake light (for those who believe they don't have a lifespan--the led's eventually start dimming). All that expense, even ordering online it came out to a pretty penny. If it were a bulb, it would have cost $1. Now that's just dumb. |

Not as bright as you can imagine and not as bright as flashlight just makes your car look good.

Often they are made from China and they dont all come on. You'll be lucky if you get all the nodes to light up and if they do, they don't last long and a couple would short out. It is hard to get a good made one now-a-days.

you could get an error too based on how much power it draws. i think that's why nobody's done it yet

Lawman,
Any updates on this? I saw the same ones on ebay and was considering these myself. I'm with you... I don't need ridiculously bright xenon fog lights. |

It would most likely throw an error code if you switch out your fogs for those. Do you know their watt rating? Unless it's 50W I'm pretty sure it would throw and error code.
I was thinking of getting a set for my angels, but I'd get an error if I do. I bought a set of RD LED angels and they seem to work just fine. |

These would not work for angels or fogs, they are not bright enough for the light tubes on the E92 angel eyes and for the fog lights they dont shoot the light in a straight direction so they would just glow white and not really emit any light when looking at them head on...

Had these on my ride for about 2 days before I replaced them with some proper H11s. First off they flash when you start your car and throw a code. Second, the light they give out is not even enough to light up your interior

Get those slim kits that will help with the weight on the bumpers. You can get them under a hundred on Ebay. Some even come with error free codes mods.

Yup I was looking at those to buy. If I get a 50W H8 HID kit I don't think there would be any kind of error code thrown because theoretically you are using the same type of bulb.
