Intertesting video of the RS500 build
It starts of with a standard ST bumper as the RS bumper won't fit down the normal production line, the badges, RS bumpers, spoiler etc are fitted by hand at the end.
Must say, I think I would have it sans wrap - looks lovely in gloss black. You can always re-apply the wrap later. D.

Surely you can just have the wrap removed to reveal the gloss paint under it (that's if the original paint is up to the correct standards)

I read a review in this months Top Gear mag that says you can't jet wash the RS500! You could just remove the wrap but then you will have paid the extra 10K for this car just for the power upgrade, which can be added to a regular RS for a fraction of the cost - the suspension, chassis etc are the same.

I drove a standard RS a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with the general feel of the car but quite underwhelmed with the performance and engine compared to my old 335i........my friend who's RS i drove took my car out and prefered the 335 as well! Great car and a bargain for £25K though but £35K for the RS500 is a joke.

The latest EVO magazine compares the RS500 with the Imprezza Cosworth ... and even though the Imprezza has the spec that all the internet "sages" wanted [4wd, Cosworth engine, 395bhp, £50k] EVO actually preferred the RS500.
I haven't yet had a drive in an RS500, but had a good drive with the normal RS : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319911 As I said at the time, I'd have one as a second car but not as a replacement for my 335D. Regardless of whether we would take the wrap off and it being any kind of value .... all moot, as they sold out instantly. D.

£35k though, can't see it being worth £10k more than a boggo RS.
