looks like a super cool project! I also came from the 4-rings, and couldn't be happier. How are the tires doing on those wheels though? They look awfully narrow...

After spacers the front are 32.5 and the rears are 25. I will be adding another 10 when I get my new rear 30mm spacers to make it 15mm. There is very little rubbing.

More updates! I've been hitting it hard the past couple weekends trying to get the car ready for show season.

I took my trim back off and gave it another coat of plasti dip.

I installed some sonic tuning Angel Eyes. Way better looking than the stock. Thanks for the recommendation Mark!

I also sprayed my calipers with some duplicolor caliper paint.

I than thought it would be kind of neat to color match my mirror covers to my wheels/trim. I got the plasti dip create a color (which was a bitch to find). I actually got the color pretty close. It's taking me some time to get used to but I actually like it quite a bit.

Next on my list is....

- Clean and paint around my hubs
- Paint rear calipers and around my hubs
- Install white fog light bulbs
- Maybe debadge
- Finish wrapping interior trim (need to wrap the back 2 door trims)
- Put on stickers that my friend is making (cream and blue to match my theme)
- Install new spacers and lugs on front and rear
- Give it a good detail

Like the wheel color combo and everything you've done except for the mirrors...

Probably right! I don't expect everyone to like it, but I do and that's what matters!

looking good. don't let the conservative bmw guys discourage you. i come from vw/audi too.

if it were up to most of these guys they'd run csl reps with chunky tires on oem sport suspension because form<function

btw get on stanceworks.com if you aren't already. its the complete opposite of e90post

If conservative bmw guys = people who don't like their bmw's to look cheap. Then Im conservative for sure.

Im all for originality, but this is a bit too much for me. Im glad you like it!

Rims look SICK! The interior trim and mirrors look horrible- also, I've seen a stretched tire come OFF a wheel on a Vette at VIR. It wasn't pretty- not at all. I never understood the tire stretch thing. I totally agree on the VWVortex thing. Your car looked great up until the post where you busted out the white paint.

Thanks man I am on there but haven't been active for some time. I'll go check it out again. Too many forums to keep up with you know...

I think of it like the people that will only run RS4 reps and VMR 710's on AZ. You get the same kind of feedback from them.

I like to have fun with my cars and to me this is fun and I am having fun doing it. That's what really drives me is seeing something that you have thought up only in your head come to life with no real clue how in the hell it will come out. I have never seen this color done on an E90 or hardly any cars for that matter. I have also never seen these wheels done on an E90. Without having any clue how it would look I am very happy that I like it and everything is coming together in time for show season.

I knew there would only be a select few people that like it and that's cool with me.

Cheers!
