For those of you buying now, what interest rates are you getting?

What interest rates are you guys securing from banks/credit unions/financial organizations, etc. Please list the interest rate, length of loan, and company name where you secured the financing.

I know this was earlier but I was able to get 4.95% with SAFE credit union in SC. They usually have better rates anyway. USAA couldn't beat it.

Our local bank in Germany Community Bank offered the 5.13%. We do all of our banking and insurance through USAA with the exception of local bills that require a German bank, so I called USAA to see if they would match the rate so I could keep the loan with them. They agreed.

I think you know where you can shove that "BS" flag.

Still call BS since I just called USAA and the rate is possible but not with 10% down. You must put $15,000 for a 72 month loan and last I checked 10% would not be enough or equal to $15k.

OK, well, I'm glad you are spending your valuable time to call the bank and check in on some dude on an internet forum. I don't know what else to say except that you are getting bad info, but I'm pretty sure (like 100%) that I know who made my loan and what interest rate I'm paying. Also, the 10% down wasn't a USAA requirement. It's just what I felt like paying. I don't know what they would have loaned me, but my car was 42K out the door (Pentagon Car Sales) and my loan was as described above, 38K.

I don't know you or anything about you and I don't care to check. I'm just posting my info for the benefit of the original poster. I'm not trying to impress anybody with my fantastic loan interest rate and terms negotiating skills (sarcasm here), just putting out the requested info. Take it or leave it.

I just found that your rate was pretty low and not that it was impossible but at current rates you could see how I would call BS. I only called to see if I could get the same rate even though my current rate is actually lower at 4.95%. The info about the 15k down for 72 months was what the rep from USAA was telling me so only stating what was told to me. People sometimes tend to extend the truth a little to make themselves look better. More power to you on the excellent rate. BTW, don't assume everyone on this forum is legit or even "safe" to buy and sell from. Only telling you as a warning from another soldier. "Mission first, Soldier always"

Asiann, bro... I talked to the phone operator and even wrote USAA an email with a link to the web site showing there competitors lower rates... every time USAA said "NO... the rate is 6.1 no matter how much you do or don't put down." Understand that you're talking to a telephone service rep, NOT an underwriter for USAA loans. What you need to do is come with in a "breath" of finalizing the loan and sait "you know I'm looking at the Community Bank of America Website and they are advertising a 5.13 interest rate with automatic withdrawl".... if you've been polite with the service rep (more importantly have good credit) they will usually carry that message to underwriter for approval right then and there. I believe the underwriters are allowed to deviate 1.0%... good luck dude worked for LJ35RDR and I.

5.00% for 72 months, $9k down (would have been the same interest with $0 down though) at NFCU.
http://www.navyfcu.org/

For those that want to throw the BS flag, click the link above, click the "rates" link on the menu along the left side of the screen then hit the "Loans & Credit Cards" tab in the popup window
