I assume one of the admins deleted it, they've deleted a few others, as well. I think I'm still in the process of "negotiating," if you will, with one of the admins right now, so I'm going to hold my tongue on the issue for a little bit.

What options are there for FULL rear bumpers that aren't shitty materials? Is there anything besides OEM, Mtech or reps? I have the ACS front lip waiting to test fit it, but my rear bumper is damaged at the top where no lip will cover, so I'm not sure what I wanna do.

Any suggestions?

Today was the first day in a very long time I thought to myself, "Gee, I'm glad I got xDrive."

It's usually quite the opposite.

Finally had a chance to drive an F30 today. Only drove the 328 but it was very impressive. Smooth, quick, and balanced. Makes a nice growl for a stock 4-banger, but I did miss the turbine-like howl of the NA straight 6. The automatic shifts quick but even if it is the "faster" option, I still prefer 6MT. The auto stop-start made the car feel like a Prius. I was not amused, it really should disable itself in Sport mode anyway.

The interior was excellent, ZTP iDrive is neat, and the HK sound system is great. I'll be driving a 335 soon for comparison, but still holding out an MY2013 with ZMP/xDrive.

Very interesting, where did you drive it? I'm really torn regarding the F30, I really want to love the styling and amenities, I just don't know that I do. I suppose I'll have to drive one myself.

I like them, but I can't see myself spending the money on one. For a 328i optioned out to match my 335i, it's $48,000. I could pick up a like-new M3, S4, S5, E550, etc. for that money.

Apparently I have the best built E92 out there - I'm trying to remove the center console to wrap it and it's just absolutely not interested in cooperating. Just getting the shifter boot and frame out took me a good half hour. I'm thinking the cold isn't helping, guess I'll wait until it's warmer out and blast the heat in the car first.

Just the heat alone should be enough. No need to wait for weather. If you set the climate control to 80, it'll eventually be 80 in the car. No need for the temp outside to be hot when you are working on the inside

I actually managed to get it out last night. I'm using Hexis gloss black vinyl to wrap it, and supposedly this is the best vinyl out right now and the easiest to work with. I've ruined two sheets so far. This is a lot harder than I thought it would be.

nice man, i know the feeling

What did you get, springs or coils? I just got coils recently, rides pretty stiff for the first few days, gets better after that though.

I am contemplating on purchasing a tune.... cant decide on which to get as of now

So, here's my evening thus far:

My iPhone 4's camera is abysmal, but what you're looking at is the process of wrapping the wood center console trim in gloss black vinyl. Poor man's piano black. Or "there's no way in hell I'm giving BMW well over a grand for some black plastic" piano black.

Anyway, I still have the rest of the trim pieces to do, but this one came out flawless without a wrinkle or a bubble, so I imagine the rest will be pretty darn easy.

So far the door blade trims, center console, and ashtray lid (now swapped out onto the sunglasses compartment) are finished. I meant to take a picture today but the sun was gone by the time I got home. I'll take a picture tomorrow and then hopefully another once I finish the wooden dash trim.

IDK where else to ask and get a hopefully quick answer. I've got a deal waiting on some carbon fiber (real stuff) trim. Are the auto and 6 speed center console trims the same? It looks like a cutout that is used for both transmissions, but I can't be sure without an automatic in front of me :/
