Short stereo patch cable for IPOD
I have (temporarily) given up on integrating the IPOD as it's just too bloody expensive!
So I'm using the aux in. I have ordered the monster ultra low profile charger and now want a short 3.5mm jack to jack cable. I am currently using one that is 1.8m long! Looking at the US threads on this topic, I can see that they can easily get hold of the 8 inch gold cable from Radio Shack and one poster even mentioned a 1 inch cable. I have trawled the net and simply can't find anything short. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks |

If you can't find a good one online why not pop down to maplins and buy the necessary parts? They're not difficult to make after all!

I got a perfect patch cable from Sound Professionals in the US and am using it successfuly with the Monster low profile charger.
They do high quality patch cables in various lengths that you can order online and they also have gold plated connectors for added quality. http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cg...item/SP-SPSC-7 I ordered the 24" cable - but you might be able to get away with the 8" one depending on where you're keeping your iPod (mine is kept next to the gear lever in a Brodit cradle so that I can see what's playing and flick tracks- works a treat)

Instead get a 'belkin sports jacket' for your ipod. It's a neoprene wrap around cover for the pod which has the advantage of being totally non stick. This means that you can take your ipod out of the armrest and lay it on the centre console where it will sit happily in arms reach while driving. If you get a shorty cable it will have to live in the armrest where you won't be able to reach the click wheel. |

Yes ordered from the US but don't recall the postage being that excessive? Maybe they've upped their postage costs since then?

I would love a short cable..I'm using a 1m which is way too long. One that was 15 cm - 20cm would be ideal.
I tend leave it on shuffle tracks or play a playlist. I'm not a big believer in looking at it whilst driving...just about think its safe to nudge it on a track by feel.
