Mods: can you create a 60-130 sticky thread?
comparing dyno to dyno gets exhausting.. a 60-130 thread would be a great comparison tool. users would post their time, mods, conditions, and perhaps a video/datalog for proof.
I know hortrod would participate |

Cool thread. I love keeping track of the HPF M3's figures. Their stage 2.5 runs around 5.7-6 60-130. Curious to see what the fastest 335/135 can do in this area.
I wonder if we can ever get this fast Alan

Great idea, but just like the other forums only VBOX times would be accepted and only after a panel had reviewed the file to ensure the road was level, etc. Speedo, datalogs, etc, are simply not accurate enough for this.

Since most people on here don't have a v-box maybe we can have "official" and "unofficial" times.. obviously official being v-box entries.. but the more entries the better in my opinion.

Usually when a thread is 60-130 dedicated, only times measured with vbox/performancebox/driftbox are posted on other forums. On some forums, times are posted only when data file is sent to OP for verification. On other, all times are posted with a not "not yet verified" until times are verified.

I"m looking to get a vbox, but it looks like hotrod is the only one with a vbox around these parts as of now so the thread just wouldn't survive. I'd like to see someone datalog with the procede or bt-tool, and use the vbox at the same time to compare how "off" datalogging really is.. |

I did that some time ago. I was stage 1 then and was measuring 100-200 km/h times. The difference between procede datalog and performancebox times was about 1 second.

The speed coming from Procede datalog (at least for revI) is the speedometer one, so is 3-4% higher respect to the real value.
The same parameter logged by bt tool is otherwise (with standard rims and tires) way more accurate and, if your car is equipped with factory nav system, it is also corrected by gps signal. So I think that bt values can also be considered good for comparison (maybe someone with both devices could try to verify if there is some kind of correlation). |

Yes, that's it. It should be easy for larger cities to go in on one. If you split with 5 people it's 100 each. Track's are usually 20-25$ entry fee. So your 6th vbox run would pay for itself in track fees. The times are usually dead on ET wise and maybe 1mph off track times according to Hotrod and other's, unlike the old gtechs that were 1-3mph high. Plus track's can't record your 0-100 or 60-130 times. |
