You should definitely buy the BMW PE. It really screams up top and the low end sound along with the gurgle when letting off the gas sounds amazing. I have 2 video clips if your interested. Plus if your under warranty BMW won't hassle you if you need warranty work because obviously they approve of the PE.

So so soooo many exhaust threads in this subforum...
but yes, it's arguably the best exhaust for 325/28/30's. Dozens of videos on youtube about the exhaust, but here's mine: And this is one of the videos that I used to convince me to get the exhaust 6 months ago:

I don't have the PE but sometimes I wish I did. By far, it is one of the best sounding exhaust systems that is a catback. It actually sounds better than a lot of full catless systems. Would I buy it? If I had the money, no doubt lol. Since I'm broke, I created my own full system from headers back :P does it sound good? Ehh could sound better but I'm happy with it

not trying to hate but, honestly just do some research. There are millions of these threads that already have ALL the answers to your questions that you might possibly have. And instead of waiting for people to reply to your post you can just look them up yourself.
And just to save you time here is the low down. if you have the money for the PE get it. its honestly amazing. I get compliments non stop on it. it will cost ya around 1200-1300. it you want something a little cheaper that is almost is good get the AA exhaust. Its very similar to the PE but is like 800 i believe and you can get them used believe it or not for like 500-600. Happy buying. |

im not even buying an exhaust kit/setup. Im dropping the 2nd cat/res and adding a aftermarket res + magnaflow muffler. I should be around 350-425 all day instead of 1k +

Laptorr Exhaust is the best sounding exhaust for our NA's (Hence the 3k+ price tag)
Second would be the PE in my opinion.

True, do a thorough search and decide ... price vs performance/sound.
I did 2nd'ery Cat delete + OEM Res. + Rogue Icon = Far exceeds my expectations for ~$500 bucks.

If you're willing to spend the money, the BMW PE is a good bet. It's sporty, but not loud. It won't intrude into the cabin with the windows up.
If you want a louder exhaust the PE likely won't be enough. Since you're in FL, you may want to check out the Active Autowerke exhaust. They're in Miami. If you're up for a road trip, they're probably your best bet for a quality install. |

Under the exhaust category there should be a performance or accessories link. Good luck

This year I will either be selling my full eisenmann race exhaust or my detail addict mid pipes with a free-flow magnaflow muffler. Depending on which one has better gains on a dyno, I will keep rather than comparing sound. All sections will be v-clamped so there won't be anymore welding except the bolt-on section to the headers. So keep an eye out which one I sell. Bay Area locals will have priority though shipping is doable.
