Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread (especially vwong and brianlay). I now have rear fogs with the original chrome-tipped switch in my '09 E93.

Nice thread! I'll be in Munichnext month and think I need to stop by the local dealer and pick up the cheaper '08 switch to use in my '09 to retain the '09 look. Thanks for all the helpful posts on this topic. I'm wondering if I should be picking up anything else while in Munich (read: newbie).

So I have to do some research and I'll find out Monday. Either way, all 6 versions including the one above are the same price +/- a few euros. About 80 EUR..
Bryan,

Just pm'd you. Can you get the switch and if so, how much for mail to the US via APO. I have 335d - US version.

Thanks ahead for the info!

weird, i didnt read all 27 pages but i thought rear fogs aren't supposed to be symmetrical, similar to how they appaer on saab/audi b/c then drivers would confuse them for brake lights. it's the 1-sidedness that lets ppl know those are in fact ure rear fogs.

I did this mod myself over the weekend, theres another thread that describes how to make the existing switch work, no parts needed just a bit of creativity.

I ordered mine from ECS Tuning last week. Should be shipping around the 25th if all goes well. I know that I could have modified my switch but I am anal and wanted the logo on the button. Not to mention when I sell the vehicle years from now I can swap it back and make some money back on one of these forums :-) I just bought the car 7 weeks ago so I have no plans on selling it anytime soon.

I just purchased a LCI switch from a forum member here and installed it tonight. Took about 10 minutes and works great. Dash lights up, switch has logo and lights up, I'm stoked! Especially since the LCI versions are hard to come by in the US. And no legos to break off and rattle around in the dash.

My E90 had Premium with Halogen headlamps.

I used a dry wall anchor and glued a piece of an old credit card to the top.

How'd that work out?? I ordered the advertised "Euro switch Chrome knob" and they sent me the standard pre-LCI US switch without rear fog switch..
