Thanks,

Just a comment along those lines, and it's not my intention to imply that the support bracket would have eliminated the possibility of this happening, but apparently the vibration is enough that if you don't get the "connection to the accordion OEM tubing" clamp on tight enough, (my bad) it will vibrate loose enough to come off. My clamp is somewhere on Interstate 20 in Georgia. And of course with no extra clamps on hand, I had the resort to plastic tie wraps to get me home yesterday, since I had no interest in driving 500 plus miles while looking at that CEL illuminated. Word to the wise, it's $15 and some change to replace that clamp with an OEM part from BMW, or $1.85 plus tax for a 3 - 5 inch diameter hose clamp from your neighborhood big box hardware store.

BTW guys, when I read - yes I read the paperwork that came with the intake - it said that it is "For Off Road Use Only!".

So is that to equate to saying: "Put your OEM intake back on before going to BMW for regular maintenance!" ???

Just installed this on my wife's car. Simple install and sounds much throatier. She's happy.

Exactly what happened on my car, one night I was driving at very low speed and my rpm was jumping up and down until I stopped the car and it stalled. The clamp has slipped away from the silicon hose and the intake was completely disconnected. I will definitely look for another T-clamp but if Mike can ship out those harness to secure the intake I think that would make a huge difference as well.

It is probably mostly the ppk but the sound of my stock exhaust has improved since I've put the intake on

I had what I think are maf related issues. Occasional weird idle and even stalled a few times. Was directly tied to installation of the intake. However after updating to the latest firmware these issues seem to have disappeared.

I just got one. I am unhappy I lost torque on low rpm. It feels slower, and you can feel it only if you rev it super high. I not too impressed its a BMW not a Honda civic. I just that I think it felt faster stock, which is sad.

Butt dynos are not very reliable with intakes due to the sound changes. But its not possible for the intake to reduce torque, that is governed by boost which is regulated. The power gains do come in at higher RPM where the OEM airbox becomes more restrictive but never makes less power than stock.

Regarding idle issues I've yet to hear of any provided the intake is installed properly.

It takes a min or two to install it, you'd be crazy not to remove it any time you go in... Why take the risk?

I have some Amazon.com pts I'd like to put toward this intake however the pricing for this product on your Amazon storefront is $229 while on your website it's $199. If you can adjust that price on your Amazon storefront you'll probably get a sale today
