At the risked of getting flamed. I don't have problem with that. At least a fair amount of effort and money has gone into it. Unlike some of these Baffon's who just slap on a badge.

'the engine and exhaust sound are identical to a M3' - a 325i making that noise is probably on the way out

Ruins a car when the owners stick an M/// badge on it.
Fucking clowns. Bet they point out others who do it too thinking there in some club and "in the know" they probably consider themselves BMW enthusiasts also.

How about the fact he's used a non-nav base car?
Where's the 'hump' that all M3's have because navigation is std?

It is a good effort, which would dupe 99% of people (obviously one-on on E90post ), but the engine has thrown me.
He says it sounds just like an M3, but if it's the 325i lump that impossible, but in the spec is says 4000cc - I suppose eBay have included that text as he's inserted the add as an M3. He does say 'full conversion' though - I guess it's a red herring and it's still a 325i engine. I'd love to post a question on eBay asking how it sounds like a 4.0-v8 when it's got a 3.0-s6 under the bonnet (or even a 2.5-s6 give it's a 56 plate) .

Oh come on!
Someone else pointed out missing grilles, mine was no more geeky, was it?! Matt - nav is very good in the Merc. Ties in with Traffic news, so dynamically shifts route to suit traffic conditions. Points of interest are automatically displayed and the actual brand of fuel station is displayed (handy if you only want to use Shell). Very clear screen, well positioned. To be honest, it's not often I use it, I've probably only used it for actual route guidance twice, but it has been very good both times. The one in the wife's cashcow is as good (albeit on a smaller screen) but hers has pre-loaded 'safety' camera locations on it and she gets an alert to them (they aren't just stored as POI). First system I've seen that does that.
