Vessel: Franconia (7/4/07)

The Franconia arrives in SC on 7/17/07 (est.). Anybody else on it?

I'm not sure if I am on the Franconia or the Western Highway (which is the apparent ghost ship that others have been writing about in a previous thread - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70061). My CA tells me that my vehicle was produced on 6/21...but other than that, he seems to know less about the tracking process than I do. I have read several threads on this site, and have concluded that I am not on a Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship...particularly as my vehicle status changed to "in transit" on both BMW's OC website and on the BMW 1-800 phone number on 7/4 and my VIN number does not show up on Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s website when I search its automobile cargo tracking feature. The only non-Wallenius Wilhelmsen ships that I was able to determine left Bremerhaven for Charleston around the time my status changed to "in transit" are the Franconia and the Western Highway. I talked to a BMW Customer Service Rep. today from the 1-800 number, and while she was super nice...she didn't seem to have much more information either...only that I reached the port at Bremerhaven around 6/25 and left probably around the end of June or beginning of July. She said to check with my CA....who as I said earlier doesn't seem to know any details. In fact, he told me last Friday that my vehicle was still at the Bremerhaven port waiting for a ship! Heck...even the OC website (which is supposedly a week or so delayed) showed my status as "in transit" by then. HELP!!!!!!

Well, our cars entered production both on june 21 so there is a chance you are on the Franconia. Your CA really should have that information there is no reason why he can't give you an answer. I would call him back, and tell him you need a boat name (in a nice way of course

). Let us know if you get an answer!

I'm on the western highway (arriving tomorrow), but I can tell you the one advantage of KLINE (at least for the ones we are on) is that it is pretty much an express trip (only 12-13 or so days, compared to the WW company where it's more like 16-20 days since they do more stops.)

I.e. your car is getting to Charleston faster than ships that left 4-5 days before your

Well, if anyone cares the Franconia has docked in SC today!! My car is 7 days away!!! AHHHH!!
