Electric seat wiring

Do cars without electric seats still have the wiring loom in place? Looking at a set of alcantara seats on ebay but they are electric.

NO.

On a more positive note, you only need 2 wires for the passenger seat and either 2 or 4 wires on the drivers seat, unless they are memory.

Have fitted full electric memory in my non electric SE E91.

Difficult job? There is a set in classifieds at the moment with the 2 button memory option.

It must only be me that finds them a pain in the arse, sooner grab the handle to move it forward or back rather than waiting for the sloooow motor!

If your not added heat then its not difficult at all.

Remember you cant fit non LCI seats in a LCI car, but you could fit LCI seats in a non LCI car if you do something funky with the airbag connectors.

Its really handy if your partner uses the car as well, as you can train them to push memory 1 button when they are finished.....if you have 2 fobs then 1 can be programmed to one position and the other programmed to the second position.
