Guys,
I want to get some bone stock numbers on her before I start messing around. Can any of you recommend a specific dyno facility in the Atlanta area? What kind of dyno do they have? Why do you recommend them? Lastly... who would be up for a dyno day? Let's organize something fun and get some useful numbers in the process! Thoughts? -Walter

Hey I'm up for a dyno day. I don't know where any good dynos are though... but lets get some people and make this happen. I need to know where my car is at before I tune it.

Back in my LSX days, we'd often have get togethers at DynoLab (Marietta) on Thursday nights.
$50 for 3 Runs. http://www.dynolab.net/ I'm down for a 100% stock - baseline run.

Cool, so far we have:
...and two suggestions for the place. Does anyone else have a suggestion for the location? I can do a poll when we know which shops we're looking at. Anyone else? Let's get this done before it gets too hot! -Walter

Updated list:
Jean-Claude... could you confirm if you're dynoing? Any other suggestions for the location? As soon as we have a list of locations I'll start emailing/calling and getting a nice group price. -Walter

Arthur runs a good business there, and his product is top notch. I can vouch for him as I took my LSX cars there multiple times, solo and with groups on the Thursday night runs.

Been to Arthur's shop many times.
One also to consider is Injected Engineering in Kennesaw: http://www.injectedengineering.com/index Nice shop and a great fan that covers the majority of the frontal area and they claim can simulate 50 MPH. My availability will depend on the date and time but woiuld certainly like to join in. |

Chalk up another person - My roommate just picked up an e30 with a M50 engine in it. He'll probably do a run.

Guys,
I just got off the phone with Arthur from DynoLab. Thursday nights walk-ins are welcome, but we might be unable to get all of our Bimmers strapped down depending on who else shows up, so he recommends to book one of the other days by appointments. This upcoming Friday (April 2nd) he happens to have a clear schedule in the afternoon. To get 8-10 cars dynoed by 10pm we'd need to be there at 5pm. I am down for next Friday @ 5pm. Who else can make it? Please let me know asap so I can confirm with Arthur and book the evening. -Walter PS= Arthur says that if we bring tools and remove the engine covers (coil pack access) before the car gets on the dyno we'll save a lot of time.

I just got my AE exhaust and plan to install it next weekend, as I can't this weekend. I don't want to dyno until after I install it (I do realize it would be nice to have a baseline comparison, but just dropped some $ on the exhaust). Sorry guys
