Vinyl Roof Wrap
Hi,
Have you guys wrapped your roof? I'm thinking of getting it done after this winter but I wanted to know more about your experience. Has it held up well given the winter here? Just trying to figure out if it's worth paying someone $200+ for one summer. In addition, who did you go to for the service? I'm in Mississauga so someone close would be better. I know auto-links now does it and they are known for tinting. Not sure about their roof wrapping. Any advice will be appreciated! Regards, |

I don't have roof wrapped, but I wrapped my side mirror and the window trim myself. They are holding up good so far. I used 3M one.
I am planning diy wrapping roof in this summer. |

I've seen a few vinyl roof wraps from Auto-Links and they look great.

The result exceeded my expectations, and a lot of people even thought my roof was painted. They did do the sharkfin as well, and you cannot see the edges unless you look for it. I'll post some pictures up later. I also bought a black shark fin cover which I will install this summer to make it look cleaner.

What are the care instructions for roof wraps? Car washes ok?
Also, I supposed it will not harm the car in anyway, and at worst case scenario, you just have to peel it off and car goes back to normal? |

That's really good. Do they clean the roof for you or did you do it in advance? I don't think I'll make it from my house to their shop with a clean roof lol.

I didn't clean my roof before going, and just left the keys with them and went for a walk, pretty sure they cleaned it as it is a necessary part of the process, call them and ask

I could never do the wrap myself, it would come out wrinkled I would think. Should I give it a try on smaller pieces first or do you recommend going all out and trying my roof?

$100 + 45min from gta wrapz definitely sounds like a hell of a deal - any thoughts about getting the roof wrap in the frigid cold of winter? Any negative repercussions I've failed to consider? lol

First off if you want it done for 100 it was a promotion, you better get on calling them and seeing if they still offer it, To answer your question I asked them about wrapping in winter, and they responded with saying that because they have a closed and heated garage, they can wrap anytime, any weather condition, had it for a month and no bubbles and still looks brand new, except for a bit of dirt , hate winter
