Pirelli 19inch Run Flat Tyres
Hi guys,
Has anybody had any experience of Pirellis compared with the Bridgestone runflats for 19 inch 225m wheels. I see that sthe later highline m-sport models came with these. Are they better and do they wear well? Can you safely put two on the rear and mix them with the existing bridgestones on the front? Also can you buy these yet as the tyre websites i have tried do not list them. Thanks in advance. |

the new Pirelli P Zero is really good in wet and dry it outperforms PS2
But in RFT I don't know exactly. At least it is a brand new tire, it should be a 3rd gen RFT In any cast better than 050A and PS2 Yes put them on the rear keeping 050A in the front. Better grip at rear axle is good. |

I have 17" Pirelli RFTs and they are ok but still tramline. Not as bad as bridgestones but will 100% buy non RFTs when they need replacing.

I'd be interested in this too - I didn't know Pirelli did an RFT in 19" (though used to have Pirella Eufori@s on the Mini - wasn't that impressed to be honest).
Mind, I'm thinking of binning my 19" wheels and putting 17" 7J rims on to achieve a proper drivers set up. |

I've got a high-line but still have the potenza crap :-(
Would be very interested to hear what Pirelli's like... Checked mine the other day - 4,000 miles and still 6mm on all. Dammit. Seems like I'll be waiting a while then, as can't justify changing the tyres etc in the middle of a recession. |

We have just replaced the Bridgestone 17's on the companies 320d for Pirelli’s and I have to say they are much better in terms of comfort and directional stability, still not as good as normal tyres, but noticeably better.

Pirellis compared with the Bridgestone
Hi,
I have Z4 2011, origenaly 18' Bridgestone RFT, but put 19" Bridgestone RFT on front (225 35 19) and on rear 19" Pirelli RFT (255 30 19), so far so good (2.5 month). Week ago put spacer from H&R (20mm) on rear, looks and handling very good, but 20mm too much 15mm I think it's better. niko |

Hi.
I have just replaced the horrid Bridgestone run flats with the Pirelli p0 run flats on my 335d with the 19 inch 225m wheels and I'm really impressed with them compared to the bridgestones which were rubbish. Road noise is much improved as is the handling and grip in wet and dry feels much better more planted. Tad cheaper than the bridgestones too, cost me just over £1000 for a set of 4. As for the wear, I've done bout 2000miles on them so too early to tell. |
