Colour matching: New painted splitters vs slightly weathered body paint question

Hi guys

I just recieved my painted splitters from a vendor on the site and was wondering this: They are fresh factory paint whereas my car was bought/used in July of 2009. The colour is a slight bit off - will the splitters "catch up" or will they always be slightly off? Thanks

I'm guessing they'll always be off. They will fade at the same rate your original paint will fade. Is it really that bad? I'm getting my splitters vinyled because I have a crack in one. I don't want to get them repaired because I'm getting a new bumper soon so it doesn't make sense to get a fresh coat.
