Xenon headlight levelling

Are the Xenons on an E92 meant to level themselves on start up ie. dip a bit and then rise. Don't think mine do but they do on my X5 so I just wanted to ask the rest of you.

Does it matter if auto lights are set to come on or not, or does it do it every time the car starts up?

Garage List
Doesn't matter - they will carry out the Self-Levelling test on start up regardless of setting at Dipped Beams or on Auto.

Anyone any ideas what could be wrong here, could it be as simple as a fuse if there is an individual fuse for this function.

On the X5 one light levelled and other didn't so one faulty motor was the issue but on the E92 neither light is levelling.
