6000K D1S Pics

Just installed some 6000K Hids and really happy with the results. Biggest complaint about the stock HIDS were they had a yellowish hue and was looking for something that had a pure white output. Decided to try the 6000K over the 8000K since I did not want the light to look too blue nor lose too much light output.

I bought them from : http://www.ijdmtoy.com/webpage/products/d1.htm, and supposedly are made in Japan.

The 6000 K I bought look pretty white with just a hint of blue, not much at all IMO. Some of the pics look alot more blue than what they appear in person (new to photography ).

First few pics:

If that's the case, go for the 5000K, gives you minimal output reduction but still a whiter, cooler color.

IMO, the output is not that much different from stock, maybe a little less bright, then again, I do 99.9% well-lit city driving.

I switched to 6000k bulbs also... still plenty bright. I like how the purple/blue cutoff got much more vibrant with the 6000k bulbs in. Still not as good as the cutoff in the wife's acura TL, but a nice improvement over stock.

Yea, Acura uses better projectors hence the sharper cutoff. My wifes TSX also looks better, LOL.

Price is decent, just hope these are quality bulbs and last a few years.
I'm in Austin atm, but my gf lives in Houston so I go there once a month now.

Damn, so they are NOT brighter/better visibility? I put mine in about a month ago but it is just now starting to get dark earlier here so I haven't had a chance to test them.

Easy install BTW for the poster above that was worried about that....

w/ 6000K compared to stock 4300 K, very little difference (if any) in visibility. Still lights the road pretty well. Had these bulbs for 2 years and so far so good, they have not burnt out yet lol.

Well, that will be disappointing....I actually bought these MOSTLY because I wanted to be able to see better...but maybe that was stupid....since I realized that I needed to adjust them...they were WAY too low...and I'm still glad because they look better...but better visibility would have been a huge ++++

Stock is better for seeing, the higher you go in kelvins, the less real light you have.
