Can you actually run stagger on rear wheels?
When I bought my rims I made them all the same width because i kept hearing talk about problems running stagger on AWD. Now I have people telling me I should have run a stragger, and that it doesnt affect the circumference.. Which one is it??

Staggered wheel sizes are fine as long as the rolling circumference of the tires are withing 1%.

Firstly, use the search button as this topic comes up evey week if not everyday.
Yes its ok, as many XIs come staggered, come to think of it the x5 is also staggered. There is no effect on x Drive As long as the overall rolling diameters of the front and rear tires are within 1%. that being said i am not within 1% and have been fine!, ( mine rims and tires are 235/35/19 (9.5) front and 265/30/19 (10) ET24) There is a calculator online somewhere to figure out the rolling variance! hope this helps Quote:

Take 1 - {[front width x .(aspect ratio number of front)] / [rear width x .(aspect ratio number of rear)]}
Make sure that number is less than .01 or 1 percent So a car with 235/35 and 275/30 would be 1- (82.25-82.50) = .003 = .3% difference in rolling diameter, these sizes on 19 inch wheels is ideal for staggered xi setups, that's what I am running with my Morr vs8.2, no issues whatsoever. I'm running a staggered setup. 18x8 +35 front, 18x9 +35 rear. No problems here..

square setup is better for AWD because there will be less understeer. I know this is not what you were referring to but your question seemed to be answered in this thread already so I thought I'd offer some additional info for you.
