Urgent help needed-Removing EGR valve from e92 335d
Guys im in the middle of removing my egr valve from my e92 335d, i have removed the engine cover, undone all the hose clips attaching the egr, the egr has 4 bolts attaching it to the manifold, i have undone the top 2, but can notttttttt access the bottom 2! just how in the hell do you access an undo the bottom bolts????

remove the plastic intake ducting (torques drives T-25 IIRC)
then use a 1/4 drive ratchet and put a bendy joint on it along with and extension bar They are fiddly, but not too bad with the plastic duct removed The total job took me 25-35 mins

a tip to prevent dropping the bolts into the engine bay..place a rag or plastic bag under the egr valve to act as a net to catch the bolts if you do drop them ..save you time and hassle of trying to find them if they fall into engine bay.

If you can 't access the bottom 2 bolts even if you have done as above , then it's manifold off time , not difficult just long winded . ( 30 mins or so)
It's worth taking off anyway as you can clean all the crap that builds up inside it |
