Hear that for the front of a 328, you can direct swap the 335I rotor. Do I need to change anything else? Planning on using it for a lot of mountain drives and track usage. Do I need to change my brake pads too? Or could I use the same ones? I have alotttttt of meat left on my front pads and would like to keep then and rebead them if possible. Will the performance matter if I keep the 328 pads on 335 rotors? Or would it be like keeping my front stock rotors?

it's my understanding that 328i calipers are smaller than 335i's. Therefore, you will need to upgrade your calipers as well for a working setup.
I'm referencing from Gavin@MMW who has personally done this swap on his 328i. Putting bigger rotors with smaller calipers may "work" but there's definitely a gray area of safety and reliability there. |
