This is what my car is doing wrong

My guess is that it is the suspension, as it usually only happens in parking lots/speed bumps/tight turns. Usually most noticeable when going over speed bumps. It does not increase/decrease with speed of car. Its pretty bad. Sounds like a bird is chirping/squeaking very very loudly.... and yes, i did check for a bird in my spokes :P

It was present occasionally before, like once a month, now it is everytime i drive (as of this last week?)


Ill try to get a video, but its basically a very loud, whining/squeaking sound. Any guesses on what is failing? If BMW wants me to fork over 1k for new suspension, ill just slam in on KWs lol

My buddies guessed u-joints, shocks, springs, and more. No one is certain.

Squeaky noise that goes away after you hit 20mph? If this is what I think it is, you will need new pads and sensors. I had a squeaking issue only when my brakes heated up and was below 20mph. Changed out my pads to Akebono Euro's and no squeak for the past 3 months.

My car had the same "symptoms"... but only in cold weather.
I was thinking maybe the suspension gets frozen and squeeks when driving on speed bumps.

Anyway, it's not doing it anymore. You should go to the dealer and ask, I'd like to know what causes this.

Im in Florida... so no freezing
