2 questions regarding new CIP updates
I'm takin my pre-Sept E90 to the dealer Monday to get the CIP update (and my DRL's activated cuz I just think the car looks pretty sharp with them, haha) and had just 2 quick questions -
1) How exactly can I be sure that the dealer will be installing the actual latest update? I believe we're on CIP 21 now but I'm not sure as I haven't been keeping up so much with this stuff. 2) What's the average time it's been taking for this update to be installed? I've heard a various range of times so I was just wondering what the average is lookin like. sorry if this is a glaringly obvious repost and yes I did search before posting!

1) Ask them what version they have on their system
2)Depends on your options in the car and their current software versions but would be many hours to days.

2. Mine has been with them for 5 days, and it looks it will be another 1-2 days before I get it back. It just depends on how your current version takes it. |

The last CIP was 19, then they changed parts of the system and it became Progman, starting with Progman 20 and now progman 21

I find it strange that it takes me 5 minutes to update software on my computer but it takes hours to days to update software on a car. Wouldn't it be as simple as uploading the latest software via a cable to the main cpu?
