Used foam cannon for the first time (pics)

Borrowed my friend's pressure washer+foam cannon attachment to try it for the first time, had some fun
2 minutes and 1 liter of Meguiars later I get this:

1 liter!?!? Isn't that a ton of product to use for one wash?

Yes one liter, full container. I dialed the maximum foam/water ratio, for maximum foam output. The Meguiars Gold class is not that expensive if you think about it.

I've had thicker suds with a fraction of the amount of soap you used. Try CG Citrus Wash.

I get nearly the same results just using the soap dispenser on my electric pressure washer. Not quite as thick a foam, but works fine. The suds still cover the car well and stick around until rinsed off.

I never had any issue getting that many suds from Meguiars gold glass using only a few capfuls in the foam gun. I think you used more than was necessary.

1 Liter?? I have a foam cannon and can definitively tell you that you're doing it wrong or using the wrong equipment. I use a fraction of that and get much better foam than that . See thread:

What kind of soap do you use in there? Pretty impressive from the Gilmour.

Yes, used a bit too much, but like I said it was the first time.

So what would be the recommendations for thicker, longer lasting foam? More pressure (run PW faster) or use different soap?
