control arms etc...

Anywhere cheap to get the TRW/M3 control arms etc?
I'd like to do front and rear. Believe the rear ones don't fit unless changing the suspension though?

I'm appalled to see this guide rod on the car!

I bought all of mine from amazon and it was delivered the next day! I've only fitted both the front arms and m3 sway bar. The rear is still stock at the moment.

Thank you guys, and thank you Raj but I wouldn't know enough to fit these myself.

So I'd need to buy replacement guide rods as well. They are the ones like a broken twig. Have you guys changed yours? It sounds like it removes a lot of movement under acceleration and braking. I guess I'd want to do bushes as well.

All 4 arms at the front were replaced with those and they are pretty straight forward to fit (but do take some time).
They offer more solidity but mainly add the extra -ve camber which was the main reason for me.

I think Amazon or Spareto are usually the cheapest.

I got mine from eBay, bought each arm separately but from the same seller so they came in one box. Genuine TWR and the total price was £208.

Query?

Sorry I'm a newb, so apologies in advance - will the control arms from an E90 M3 fit an E90 318d 2011? Cheers.

I sink so, unless 2011 E90 has different arms from pre LCI E90.

From what I understand it adds only 0.5 negative camber. I doubt visually it is going to make any difference.

Does anyone know what the alignment setup of the 4 wheels should be (for a quick road setup) after the front control arms are fitted?

So what about the rear of the car?

I gather the M3 uses different suspension and so you have to decide if you want M3 springs and shocks and M3 parts. If you want to retain the separate spring and shocks setup of the 335i in the rear then you need different parts.

I read read somewhere that an M3 rear is not considered as an upgrade. Though I think it might stiffen things up a bit, but tbh I don't know. I haven't gone that far yet, one thing at a time.

Probably from here. Seems there's less resistance and more spring in the M3 rear setup possibly. I still need to decipher the bottom line.
