Here's a pic of my e90 lci on SP Perches on performance shocks/struts with stock 189's. This was taken on the same day right after install. Today they are more settled and lowered about 0.5 of an inch.

Not an e93 but close enough with sports springs, performance dampers and lowering front perches

I'll do that when I get home

franciscomar - your car looks great and looks much lower than my e90 lci. Are you using the performance bump stops or did you change them out to the m3 bump stops?

I was using stock bumpstops but changed them to m3 then to performance, on the front I cutted the welded stops on side of the struts for it to get lower into the mounting bracket, it looks like a little T sideways, I trim an 1/8 of an inch and that did the trick, it's lower than the eibachs and rides awesome, looking to upgrade anti roll bars for even less body roll, but for now it's a great way to lower without spending a lot of money specially if you order the old performance suspension from Tischer

Thanks for the pix / info! Looks like more than .5", not doubting it is .5" but when I go measure my car with 18" wheels and measure with anticipated drop, it does not seem to be enough?

Cars look NICE

Here's a few pics of my current setup with the SP Perches. Sorry for the garage pics but I will do a photo shoot this weekend.

Was wondering what is involved in installing these perches?

I just found out what it takes to put in new shocks and springs (muuuch more involved than my E46) and was considering doing the perches alone at first.

Thanks

You have to remove front struts and springs and swap the top hat or spring perch, it's a 30 min affair if you know how to work on cars, pretty easy task to achieve, by the way a good set of wrenches and spring compressors will be required

Really? I was talking to my BMW mechanic/good friend/client...head mechanic at my local dealership...and he said you have to remove the entire strut assembly in the E92/93, which is about 5 hours of work to R&R. I told him that it sounded on the forum to be an hour long job at most and he said that was true in the E46 (my other car) but not the E93.

Thumbs up

That my friend is bs, I did both sides in my garage in around one and half hour cause I took my struts to a friends shop to use his spring compressor machine wich is wall mounted and that itself took around ten minutes to do both, so get some tools and do a DIY and pocket that money for other mods

That's encouraging. Thanks! But I'm still confused...I thought you had to compress the springs in order to get the strut assembly out so that you could then replace the perches??? He told me that he could use a portable spring compressor while the strut assembly was still on the car, but...it was potentially dangerous to do so, both for him and the car. The spring compressors they use in the BMW shop work only on a fully-dropped assembly.

But then again, I clearly don't know what I'm talking about.

Thanks. He's not really giving me BS...he's a close friend. He's either sincerely wrong or just unknowledgeable about doing this. I'm trying to gather enough intell to get him moving in the right direction.

Sorry to jack the thread, but...thanks for all the input.

If you have the compressors all you have to do is lower the strut and do it without taking it out completely from the car, just be sure to use some heavy duty ones since the springs need a lot of compression for you to assemble everything back, good luck with your task!

Thanks for posting the pics. But...I was wondering why you posted the rear wheel when the perches are up front???

(Nice rims, tho. Which ones are they?)
