I was looking into LSD myself. HP Autowerks has the final drive with Quaife LSD. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...26#post8762562

$4600 New or used $2800 after a $1000 refundable core

However I am going another route. For that type of money I might as well do an almost complete 2011 DCT E92 M3 swap

1.M3 DCT Final Drive $2000.00
2.M3 DCT Drive Shaft $740
3.M3 DCT Side Output Shaft, (left & right) $830
4.M3 DCT Transmission Output flange $370
5.M3 DCT Drive Flange hub (left & right) $400

Labor is about another 1000-1200

I never said DCT is limiting it, I just don't think it's much of a factor at all when compared to steptronic. But the other part of my statement is true

Get the Quaife, you'll love it, I bought mine through Harold as well. Also, your estimate for install is way overpriced for a final drive unit. It should be no more than $500-600 or can be done in your garage with some basic tools + AR's 52mm wrench. *Edit - sorry read that wrong, the labor was for your M3 conversion.

^ Low 12's if a very good launch (sub 2.0). Without meth and DR's it's going to be next to impossible to hit 11's. Also, what size/weight rims are you using? Your 12.6@110 is respectable, just don't see you acheiving 11's. I see it all the time at the strip, even guys with DR's and meth are having trouble breaking into the 11's.

Why do you want to pay way more for a FMIC and exhaust when you can get way more power and keep you temps lower in that Florida heat with a proper meth set up? Just do a Procede + PWM + DCI and you are around 400/450 RWHP/RWTQ in the 90 degree summer heat! AND, while just driving normally, the car will drive exactly the same as when you bought it and you can remove everything in a hour or so for dealer visits.

The PSS tires seem to be a very good choice. I'm ditching my Nitto Invo's after only 5,000 miles because they suck as bad as the stock run flats. Teh PSS is what I'm going with.

Thanks Will do. So what did you end up paying all-in for the LSD for your 335is?

A friend on here has a 335is with a Dinan Stg 2 and it feels pretty stout, I rode in it at the weekend. It's definitley more torquey than mine so I'd put it around 12.6 @ 112based on my track runs. I'll talk him into going one night when the track opens.

Why not have both ? It will still top using Meth w/o FMIC or FMIC w/o Meth. At this time I want to learn my car, and meth is not an option for a short cut to take just because it is cheaper

DCI is nothing more to me than Dual Cone Hotair intake. I am currently working on a true DCCAI = Dual Cone Cold Air Intake system concept for the N54

...and that is why I dont trust Piggybacks even if meth is a factor. I like the idea of the DME logic adapting to ambient conditions and making the proper adjustments inorder to preserve and protect.

Furthermore I dont want to deal with the hastle of uninstalling anything when I have to go to the dealer. If my car breaks down in the middle of no where, I call BMW assist, they come and get me and my car "STRAIGHT" to the dealer and I get a my loaner or rental, and off I go without breaking a sweat or worry

No worries to each his own. But meth is definitely not a short cut. It's a fuel, and with proper integration like a PWM system, is extremely safe and reliable. Allows the engine to run cooler (even with a dual cone hot intake as you call it) compared with a FBO set up without meth. Logs verify this.

I called my SA and will be ordering a 335is FROZEN SILVER (individual) coming up this June at the very end of the 335is production run
