I'm not going to get into a debate with you about having a fuel pump fail while you're on the highway (which I am quite a bit). You seem to want to debate everything just for the sake of arguing. I mean how can you argue that a HPFP failure is not dangerous. Have you not read the bazillion threads about guys having to coast to an off-ramp when it happens on the highway? You're seriously one thick headed fanboy.

WTF? That does not even make sense.

You have been a member for what 2 weeks? I have not until now used the sites "special function". You ramble all over the place and make no real points or sense. Just blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. After nearly 2 years on here....CLICK...bye, bye.

you're one fuckin thick headed douche who fails to see reason when it's presented to him. i'm arguing with what you say because 1) it's a forum where we are allowed to express our opinions, and 2) i don't agree with a fucking thing you say. honestly, i'm usually one to agree with another's opinion, but i've yet to see any sense in anything you've said to date.

no i've never heard of someone having to "coast" off the highway. i've heard of people having to drive off the highway with reduced power, but shit that's like nothing. basically, instead of driving a car with 300hp on the highway, you're driving one with (guessing) 150. it's not like the car just seizes up. if it was such a HUGE issue, and a severe risk to one's safety, i'm sure there would be headlines on the news or something much larger than a quietly announced retrofit. there would be a large official recall of some sort.

you haven't provided one piece of constructive thought in any of your posts.

have a nice day.

Good luck with the car out of warranty.
Why are you comparing a zo6 and a 335i, they are not even remotely in the same league. If I get HPFP failure I wouldn't care, because the positives totally outweighs the negatives with this car.

2005 Cadillac CTS-V MSRP: $49,995.
2005 Cadillac CTS-V Price now: ~$25,000

Thats my only point. If you like this car buy a 6-month used one for ~$40,000.
