HELP! How to deactivate/disable exterior mirror curb/fold
Hi guys, I have a e90 2006 325i. The function automatically folding of the 2 exterior side mirrors are so annoying to me. So I would like to disable them folding automatically when I lock/unlock my car. Can you guys help me out? Thanks

Do they only fold when you hold down your lock button? They shouldn't fold when you just press lock. This was probably coded by someone.

Let me go straight with this issue why I want to disable this folding mirror function.
Every time I unlock the car, the passenger side mirror is folding outward (to the front of the car direction). So I have to manual use my hand to place it back to 90 degree (origin position), but when I start the engine, its folding outward once again. So I think if I can disable the motor that do the folding function, then it will be good |

Ok so the setting is off. You need to move the mirror torwards the car window then when you unlock the car it will fold out and stop in the correct position. Somehow the mirror got out of sync

If that doesnt help recode the car like I said in your other post.
If you dont wanna do that then downgrade and buy no folding mirrors.

I think there is the problem with the motor. And you said the way to reset it is:
1. Manual fold the passenger side mirror toward the car windows 2. Unlock the car I just did that, and when it fold outward (toward the front of the car direction) it was passing by the 90 degree, and out straight toward the front like in 180 degree. |

lock the car and make sure the mirror folds torwards the windown. Then unlock the car and have the mirror fold down and if you have to stop it at the correct spot and hold it till the motor stops. Then repeat the process of locking the car and the mirror folding up. Then unlock and see if its corrected. If that doesnt help I dont no what else to say.
I remember when I first got my car it did this and I got it corrected.

I have the same issue, Your stopper is broken. There's a little ring that is suppose to stop the mirror from going forward. I haven't had money to get a new mirror so I just disconnected the entire mirror by removing the tweeter and unplugging it.
