Oil Leak/Puddling Need advice

I have a 2007 E92 with 87,000 miles. I noticed a burnt oil smell while driving the other day. I pulled over, opened my hood, and found this small puddle of oil near the filter (please see attached pictures). I took a towel and wiped all the oil away to see if it would come back. The puddle came back a day later. It looks like the oil is seeping through the crack of the metal casing. I checked and am 100% sure that it is not coming from the actual filter/filter cap.

Does anyone know what i can do to fix/repair this leak? Are there any DIY's on this? I searched for this but can't seem to find threads with my exact problem. All i'm finding is oil filter cap leaks. Any help would be much appreciated.

BTW...the car is still under CPO. Is this something that my warranty will cover, or should i just repair it myself?

Thanks for all your help and advice!

Let the dealer take of this under CPO. No need to waste your money nor time since the warranty will cover it.

+1 let dealer fix, usually just the seal on the lid, but sometimes the lid is over torqued and they need to replace the lid also.

If you are CPO just bring in the car.

The DIY is in the DIY section under oil filter housing filter.
