kw rebuild customer service question

hey guys
I've been having my kw v1 for about 24k miles and I want to get them rebuilt through kw warranty . any idea if I could just fill out warranty papers and they'll be fine and do it or does something have to be seriously wrong for them to do it?
thanks guys

They will rebuild it even if it's not damaged. Contact their customer service and they will walk you through it.

Keep in mind the turnaround can be weeks, so you will need to install your stock suspension and align it in the meantime or leave your car out of service. If you're paying the labor at a shop, you'd have to pay again to reinstall the coils.

IMO if you're not having any specific problems with them, then just leave it alone. The warranty is lifetime anyway, so no need to rush to send them in.

Yeah, I'd go with what VTEC said.

I had my V3's rebuilt recently for a series of reasons: previous owner stripped dampening adjustment, perches jumped threads and were stuck, leaking pistons. Had the coils entirely rebuilt with new pistons. Turnaround was about 3-4 weeks (they were really busy in the midst of changing facilities). Great customer service.

So you'll be without coils for a while, and have to shell out for install costs (provided you don't do it yourself). Also, will they rebuild under warranty without there being an issue? Mine are used, so I am not familiar with their original owner warranty policy.

Did you have to pay to have them rebuilt??

I ask as yours were used. I have a set of V3's as well and got then used. Very cool if they did them at no cost and good to know.

Warranty covers everything if you're the original owner with receipt. I believe you just need to pay for shipping to them.

They will charge for the rebuild service per damper if you're not the original owner.

Yeah of course! If they rebuilt second hand coils for free, they'd hardly sell any new ones

Rebuild is pretty cheap though. When you email them an inquiry, they'll send you a spec sheet with all of the services and prices.

What kind of warranty do they give for the rebuild service? Are future rebuilds covered? (Doubt it but you never know!)

Don't remember exact terms. I would imagine that they would cover their work for 6 months to a year.

No, that would be bad business

"Do they?" No. If you are considering giving them fraudulent credentials, then that is a question of your own ethics.
