HID HELP!

Hey guys so I just installed new Retro Solution HIDs in my '06 325 and the driver side light either flickers or does not work. While this is happening the ballast is also making a clicking noise. Im not sure if its bad ground or something else. Does anyone have any clue what my problem could be?? Thanks

Did you buy a Canbus kit and / or one with error cancelers?

Is this a new kit or old kit?

If old it could be an indication of a bad bulb or bad ballast. Best thing to do is swap either the ballast or bulb to the other side and see if the problem follows.

If its a new kit it may not be compatible with your vehicle and you may need additional error cancelers, vehicle coding or a new kit entirely that is compatible.

It is a brand new kit off of Retro-solutions.com and is compatible. It came with extra wires and a relay for my vehicle specifically. I followed the instructions and a wiring diagram exactly so I do not know what the problem is.

It sounds like the relay isnt getting a constant voltage and is opening and closing. Where do you have the relay wire hooked up to?

It came wired to a fuse which is grounded to the positive under my hood.

You have it wired to the positive terminal or the ground wire is to the positive terminal? Putting a "ground" to the positive terminal doesn't sound correct

Sorry sorry. It's wired to the positive. The ground is not grounded to the positive.

Where is it getting the signal to turn the relay on however. I'm guessing that input isn't a constant voltage, and that would be the issue.
