XI launch
Ok my fellow xi owners out there... Im heading to the track for the first time in my 09 xi auto and I was wondering which gear I should launch the car in? Ive heard 2nd gear is the way to go but is that due to a lack of traction or is it because 1st gear is short? Traction is not a problem for me so is 1st the way to go? I made a custom kick-down block so a 2nd gear launch wouldnt be a problem either. My mods are JB4, Meth, DCI, Borla mids. Thanks!

Due to the current problem I'm having with my xdrives front TC actuator I can hear the front wheel drive part of my car engaging at around 10mph.It stays engaged TIL I cut the car off and it sets for just over 30 seconds(powers down) You might wanna check into this mainly because under a hard launch that crappy plastic gear in the actuator may strip . I guess just get up to 10mph before you launch to engage the front wheels and don't cut the car off TIL you run it
