Richmond Shop to install downpipes
my guy at bmw that does all my mods said he cant do any "illegal" installations bc some guy in a 135i tried to get his car inspected WITH catless exhaust and downpipes (dumbass) at my dealership and they are cracking down on catless exhaust/downpipes. Does anyone know of a good shop in or around Richmond that does work on downpipes? Preferably one that knows BMW pretty well...

If you still have his number, give the kid with the turbo E36 M3 a call. He may know someone. I assume Bimmerworld would do it but they're way out near Roanoke.

Contact the guys at www.autosportllc.com. They work almost exclusively with BMWs, do restoration and maintenance using an independent BMW tech. I think they're located in Chester.
Or - drive down to Greensboro, NC and go to http://www.eurobahnmotorsportsnc.com/ |

The dude at Delta V quoted me at 6-8hrs for ONLY downpipes. This is absurd. Does anyone else know where to get downpipes installed?
EDIT:Correction, that for the fmic and dps. I dont want to burn any bridges. Just post the info that I was given by the secritary. Jeff seems very educated on the subject matter and I am looking forward to working with him. Problem solved Last edited by Penn999; 11-09-2010 at 02:07 PM.. |

Yeah they said they would do it for $240, I said great lets do it. Drop the car off, they call me 5 or so hrs. later and say, "our state inspection guy saw what was going on and we had to stop work on it." I doubt they even touched it...I dont know the names of the guys, they were not the normal guys I go to, just recommended by a friend. I usually go to broad st. they have always treated me well, but they said downpipes is really the only performance mod they cant install because they will get find some crazy # if the state inspector ever found out that bmw installed them.
