I had a mini flood behind the front driver's seat of my 06 E90 330 from heavy downpours due to the driver's side vapor barriers not being sealed properly. This caused multiple issues from FRM going out of whack to an airbag light displaying on the dash and iDrive displaying (Pass. restraint system). I resolved the majority of the issues except for the airbag. Below is the code I need to resolve:

0093D7 MRS: Internal control-unit fault 


Please know none of the airbags deployed nor were any of the seats removed while the battery was connected. I made an attempt to clear this code through INPA but was unsuccessful. ISTA suggests that I replace the airbag module so I purchased a used module of the same part number. Would this replacement unit be plug&play or does this require coding? If this requires coding, I was hoping if someone can guide me through the process of coding the replacement module to my car or is there some sort of D.I.Y I can follow?

Would it be possible to find out how many crash signals occurred on the airbag module? From what I understand, after 3 signals you must replace the module.

Any help with this will greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
