VIR full course Sept. 11 with PCA

PCA (Porsche Club of America) is holding a full course event at VIR Sept 11th. Dont let the date scare you. This is a rare chance to get a LOT of seat time in one day. 5 sessions!

I ran with these guys several months back and it was a fricken blast. Plenty of really quick competition. Last 5~6 times Ive been out to VIR I was the only 335i running. It would be good to have a larger 335 precense if we can get some guys together.

Right now it looks like BoostedBMW (Michael) would like to attend with a friend of his who has a Porsche as well.

Here is a list of the cars currently signed up....

It's the weekend before the tarheel event, so most of the regular charlotte group will miss this one.

Eh, Tarheel, shmarheel. Just kidding, Im actually a Tarheel member myself.

But seriously, I've had quite a bit more fun at the Porsche events. No classrooms, more seat time, and typically faster cars

Once you get thru the basics at Tarheel and get into A/B group, you can run in just about any school. Tarheel asked me to go thru their instructor school, so I'll see how that turns out in september. our group normally hits a few pca schools a year.

They let non-Porsches run at the PCA events? Some of the PCA clubs are really snotty and only let you in if you have a VIN number.

I snuck in once because I knew a PCA club president - then I spent the whole day stuck behind 911s that wouldn't let me pass!

Sure, anyone is welcome. Typically its a mix of Porsches, a few Bimmers, a couple Lotus's and so forth.

East coast PCA groups are an inclusive lot. I've ran with the Peachtree and Alabama PCA chapters in my 335. Both good groups.
