Need Help with roug idling!
I have an 06 330i with 66k miles. Today I went to start up my car my car began to shake alot. Popped the hood to see if I could figure where it came from but couldn't. All maintenance is up to date. still on original spark plugs. i went as far as pulling out the driveway. didnt want to risk further damage so i parked it. along with the rough idling theres a loud sputtering sound. should i look for air leaks? if so where do i look? can it be a bad ignition coil. car just went out of warranty this past october. Can anyone help? This is a time where in need the bimmer community. im trying to figure this out myself before i take it to an indy. i think it might be sparks plugs or coil. i found a DIY on here for spark plugs. what difficulty is it to do?

Yea i'm guessing that its the ignition coils i had the same problem about a month ago and the symptons your are giving are the same symptons i got. Did you get the Check engine service light? After i got the bad ignition coil changed the car was fine again, but a week later another one went out so it probably be best to change all of them.
