Wheel spacers for stock suspension/wheels?

I have an 07 E90 335i on stock type 162 "ellipsoid" wheels and stock sport suspension. I do plan on getting wheels, but not for awhile, and would like to get spacers in the meantime to improve the looks.

What are the widest spacers that will fit on the front and rear without rubbing? I'm thinking something in the 10-20mm range? I never track the car, it's my daily driver.

Here are my present wheel/tire sizes:
Front: 18x8 ET34 225/40 R18
Rear: 18x8.5 ET37 255/35 R18

Thanks!

Will these cause rubbing with the stock wheels/tires and stock sport suspension?

For some reason, 15 mm rubs in the back for me with passengers, I have LCI E90 with the M sport pkg, 193M wheels, same exact spec as yours with Bridgestone OEM runflats. If i go thru a big dip, it rubs. i can't carry anyone in the backseat

Gona take off the rear spacers, front is flush with 12mm.

I can try to take a picture later today, so u can see how they look.

I've had 20mm spacers on the rears for quite a while on pre LCI e90 without any rubbing. If you go with 20mm at the rears, try 12mm in the front to match.

Well I put 18mm spacers on the rear and they rub on bumps. I am on stock 162 wheels with 255/25/18 Pilot Sports.

Hi all,

Just picked up a 2008 Monaco Blue 335i sedan with premium/sport.

lustyyog: did you ever get those spacers installed? Would love to see pics as I'm trying to figure out what size is best for rear with sport suspension.

Thanks!

I have a 07 335 with 162s and sport suspension. 12mm up front and 20 in the back. No rubbing whatsoever, even with 4 people in the car.

Interesting that you don't have rubbing with 20mm spacers when full loaded, and I did with 18mm spacers with just me. Mine would only rub on hard turns + bumps, or pulling onto a hill.

What tires do you have? I have Michelin PSS and heard they run wider than others.

I also have the 162 with H&R sport springs. 15mm spacers in front and 20mm at the back. No rubbing when driving alone or with front passenger. With passenger at the back, there's minimal rubbing felt on bumps and uneven roads.

OEM Bridgestone 255/35R18. And I was slightly mistaken. While changing over to my winter setup yesterday, I noticed they are 18mm in the rear.

Good to know that you rub. Next spring I will need new tires and will be ditching the runflats.
