Can i take bluetooth from one BMW and move it to another??

Title pretty much says it all.. Can i move Bluetooth from One BMW to another? I have a 06 330i... just bought a 07 335i... so i will be selling my 330.

The 330 has homelink mirror with compass which i was able to switch to the new 335. I want to do the same thing with the bluetooth. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Can i remove the bluetooth from my 330 ? and put it in my 335?

Thanks!

For the time being.. i love seeing both Bimmers in the garage : )

I think you could, but I'm pretty sure you'll have to get both cars recoded in order for the 330i to ignore the lack of Bluetooth equipment, and the 335i to recognize the new equipment.

Side note: How u like 335, big difference ?

Thanks for the heads up. I may try it and have it recoded. I love the 335 way more.. not necessarily for the power difference but options. I wanted a silver with black leather. 6spd manual with sport package. My 330 is gray interior with standard seats and automatic.. but i picked it up at a bank auction for $11k so i couldn't pass it up.

Ironically, now that i got the color combo, sport pkg i wanted... i didnt have the homelink or bluetooth lol.

I guess i'm never going to win.

so i managed to get all the pieces transfered over from the 330 to the 335 today. My radio wouldn't work for a while until i finally figured out I had the wiring in the mast in correct. I got it re routed and everything was fine. I am not showing any error messages on the dash so I'm not sure if I correctly installed the bluetooth or not. I moved he fzw as well from my 330 (which had SOS) installed - so I'm thinking that may be the reason I am not getting the SOS error that others have mentioned. Anyone know how i can check to see if the bluetooth is installed correctly prior to getting the car recoded? Or do i have to recode before I can even tell if its installed right?

I would say code the car. I had the SOS error come up but didn't install the FZD. After programming (not dealer) my Bluetooth works and no more SOS error. Hope this helps.
