So after the Procede flash I've had an issue of things running too rich in mid and higher rpms. So I decided what the hell, lets try as close to 100% e85 as I can get into my tank.

I have my ol fueling set to 50% when running 50/50 e85/93 and it ran nice but a little rich with fueling never really going over 20%. With ~100% e85 my logs were still running 12s to mid 11 afrs but the ol fueling actually touched 34% a few times. I almost forgot that I had ol fueling set to 50% so I bumped it up to 60% and voila, problem solved, fueling went back down to under 20%.

I'm at 56k miles, never changed the lpfp but it seems that with the flash, this fuel system can handle a lot of e85 with no issue. My afrs were fine, actually a little rich. No codes except for 10720 and 10721 which is a fuel mixture code, I'm not sure if this is just a warning code but it doesn't seem to have any affect on the car.

I want this flash so bad but I am going to wait for the "in house flash" that Shiv said would eventually come out....I want to be able to dial it in myself and not have it pig rich but some median would be nice.. Pits200 my fuel trims at WOT on reaches about 20-22% max with a M10 meth nozzle in the mix. A/F hovers around 12.2-12.8 which is actually pretty perfect. If you had these variables would you still get the flash? I just took the car out for a full run after changing out my LP sensor and the car is working flawlessly. I just want to have richer A/F for when my nitrous is used, and would this flash be too much for normal usuage without nitrous?

Can you log actual lpfp fuel pressure? I bet it's dipping quite low.

I mean, being a little too rich even when off nitrous isn't a big deal, you're losing a couple horses and losing some gas mileage but I don't think it's detrimental to the car.

Shiv will probably address this with the flash running a little rich in the near future and whats the converse side, running lean. I'm pretty sure most of us would rather run rich than lean so I would have to definitely say you should get the flash if you ran into my circumstances:

1.) Fueling was hitting 34% at wot on multiple occasions running 18psi and 0 ign corr. Yours isn't, so tha tis going to have to be your call.

2.) I had ol fueling set at 100% prior to flash and had no more upward movement, I'm not sure what you have yours set at.

3.) I was hitting 34% even when running a 50/50 meth mix prior to the flash.

So in your case it doesn't seem a flash is essential unless you want it for meth or higher e85 content.

My fuel trims were close to maxing out weeks prior to my LP sensor failing. Upon changing it out the fuel trims have come no where close to maxing out like before. It kind of strange that some cars with similar setups have their trims maxed out which leads me to believe the Low pressure side there is something going on there, well at least in my case.

I guess I will wait till the home flash is offered and hopefully Shiv will offer different scaling of the A/F flash for the DME, as that would be perfect for people to dial in what preset flash they want to have on their car..

OP - I have been flashed with the flex kit for over a month now and for everyday driving 100% E85 is fine. I can say starts took longer and ran a little ruff until the car warmed a bit. Overall I was very happy with the way the car performed until I really started to crank up the boost and timing. Eventually you will hit a wall with the LPFP regardless of it age. It will happen at WOT as you shift from 3rd to 4th around 5000 rpm. This I found to be consistent with 60 to 80% ethanol levels. So, if you haven't already spoke with Shiv or Robbert, order your booster pump and you'll save yourself the embarrassment of coding if you get into a situation in Mexico.
