Any South Ontario Guys Running Ethanol?

Debating whether to do methanol injection or an ethanol conversion. Only issue with ethanol is the supply in Ontario. If there are any guys in Ontario running ethanol, would you mind giving some tips?

The problem with running ethanol is getting it. Where is the nearest station to you? I'm from Guelph but I go to Detroit sometimes and I get e85. I put 3 gallons in and top off with premium. This is like an e20-30 blend. Running jb4 + flash. To account for e85 go to map 5 drive around gently and slowly bring it into boost. You'll feel it. Meth injection is pretty straight forward with jb4 as well

I'm in Oakville. Yea, I was pretty much asking here to see if there happened to be some ethanol equipped stations relatively close or if people knew of an online supplier. I might go the route of meth, but I don't know what that installation's like ($$).

Anything over about e40 you need a low pressure fuel pump upgrade. In Canada meth is your best option. You can buy methyl hydrate at any hardware store and mix it with distilled water. If you're running jb4 the bms meth kit is plug and play. The kit is not cheap but install is not hard if you like to diy. What mods do you have on your car already that are leading you to want to change your fuel source?

I run e60 and meth

i'm in burlington and frequently make trips during spring/summer/fall to buffalo and get my e85 there. There is also a pump in st catharines which is tested to be e25-e30

I heard gales in st.catherines has e40 at a pump. But its mixed with thier shit 87. So i doubt you will get the octane required to run higher boost. Might be worth looking into.

when i called Gales in the summer and inquired, they confirmed it was in fact mixed with 87 but they rated their e30 pump ethanol at 97 octane.

i gave it a try and found that i had more timing corrections so i stuck to getting my e85 across the border.

Hoping with all this cap and trade carbon tax crap bio fuels make a comeback in Ontario since they're technically carbon neutral.

Oh, that would be very excellent news indeed! I have a meth kit that i'm waiting to install in the spring, but i think I'd much rather prefer ethanol.

Nice.

I'm trying to eliminate some variables to determine if gales e30 is better than our generic 94.

I grew up in the falls and actually worked at the gales around there as a kid. Used to get robbed all the time. Lol.

I'm in edmonton now and buy e98 by the barel. $350 for 205l. I put about 6L per tank of husky 94 and can run 19.5psi with 8deg timing with zero timing corrections.

My experience exactly and I was only running an MHD e40 OTS map.
