My JB is a daily driver and i wash it every week.
As long as you wash it carefully the swirls arent that bad (dont wash in circular motion). Love the JB though

Mercedes doesn't offer enough performance for my taste until you get over the $70,000 range. I wouldn't buy an entry level MB, but I might buy an entry level Bimmer if I were buying cars in that price range. I see these guys on the freeway with a C230 Kompressor and find myself trying to figure out what they paid for.

JB 668 is the best paint option. I love it, very much an enthusiast color that dosen't scream for attention but demands respect when it is prefectly clean. It is alot more work than I originally thought especially when trying to avoid swirls.
Unfortunatly BMW decided to throw some metallic in because now they use softer paint which is better for the enviornment. The Jet black on the e46 was purer. If you look very closely, ull notice small metallic dots scattered throughout the paint. (you can tell I spend alot of time detailing the car) and btw i wish they had Jerez black (m3) as an option for the reg sedan- awesome color |

Both my Bimmers are jet black, the E36 is in embarassaing shape, the E90 is holding up pretty well going into its 7th month of my ownership but I don't do anything special to it, just wash every other week by hand.

I just finished detailing my JB yesterday, the little metallic specs in the paint were drivin my crazy as I thought it was polish dust. This paint is a real pain in the ass, even the softest microfiber can swirl it with a little too much pressure.

I liked the Grey - it was my wife that wanted the black thing.
Well - the only thing she had to decide to day i am happy about it. I live in the real dirty winther/snow/rain/dirty Denmark. Its not so bad with he black color. And some days i have my kick - its gray - haha Just se to that you have it waxed often - then it will last much much longer.

Seeing as your M5 and 997TT are fakes, I don't think any Benz owners will be offended. I doubt you'd be able to buy one.
