Once a month.

But then it's more like a quick rinse to get the dust off. I rarely drive the E92 anymore (like 4-5 days out of the month).

My car is JB and haven't washed her for last 2 months I think.
She's nasty as hell and now I have free blacked out rims.
I try not to touch my car as much as I can to keep the dirt even to keep "matt grey" look.

It's funny how I don't care anymore about my car now.
I used to clean my s2k everyday to keep the shine like butter smooth, then with z4 I got lazy and washed her maybe once a month and now with 335i...
I hardly clean her. But interior is kept clean.

Once a week...but then again I have a Jet Black car and don't have the luxury of washing it less often.

Also, I bet there is a big difference between people who own their cars vs. lease them. My last e9x which was a lease, I washed it less often. But even that was spotless.

I think the condition and cleanliness of one’s car/home/office/etc is a reflection of other parts of their life (cleanliness, order, hygiene, to name a few). It's what sets us apart from animals.
I keep my 335 spotless.

If you are getting swirls that easily you may want to examine your washing technique or wax/sealant or both. I have found since switching to the two bucket technique and using a polymer sealant instead of wax I don't have this issue any more. I can wash my car twice a week for a couple of months with no problems at all.
