In particular the (OE) all-weather mat loves to get frisky with my clutch pedal. I've been running anchor-free since I got the car, first because I wasn't sure I wanted to keep the "all-weather" mats, later because I'm too lazy to mess with 'em. The tug-the-mat-toward-the-seat move is practically a nervous twitch at stoplights

yeah i have rubber mats i love em not the versicle and horizontal ones!!! mine have 2 Velcro 3.5 inch(guess) diameter screw ins plus the other 2 Velcro 3.5 patches connecting to the bottom of the mat..they work great and look way better than the normal ones... i love em here they are i found em:
http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=770 the patches are on either side of the BMW only for the front though in the rear there is nothing they fit snug and work well and they trap a lot of dust and debris as well!!!! plus look way better in real life than in this photo!!! mine came out of the bag with the patches attached already and my dealer installed my other floor mats cause you know the dealer has to buy them for the 3 series...the 5's and 7's come included....but dealers just usually pick up the tab..so both the oem carpet ones and these rubber go the same way...i would imagine your do also...and for the record these are soft thick rubber even though they looks firm.. ________ Videos Pornos Last edited by purplewidow; 03-29-2011 at 08:28 PM.. |

^ Actually those do look better than my All-weather mats. They also look more functional because they have carpet where you rest your heels and it should give much better feel when shifting an MT.
I should have gotten those instead... Ok, I ordered to those from Circle BMW. I will compare between the 3: carpeted vs. all-weather vs. rubber&carpet Last edited by iatacs19; 05-08-2007 at 09:06 AM.. |

I like my allweathers, the stock mats gave me a problem with my heel slipping on the carpet, and I think I would run into that problem with those above as well.
I just need to have them stop moving to be perfect. |

Well I went to the dealer today. What a waste of time, I dont understand how they have these imcompetent people working with the public.
The lady at the parts counter didnt understand what I was asking for and tried to brush me off, saying there are no anchors for the all weather mats. So I had to get the actual one's they have for sale there to show her the anchor, which mind you are included. Then she told me she couldnt order that, didnt even bother to check her computer, yet two seconds ago she didnt even know they existed. I felt like escalating it to the parts manager, but I figured that would get me no where. Then I get a call from my brother, who had dropped of his car 2 days ago at the same dealer, they lost a moulding and claimed the car came in that way, they put a hole in his door trim panel, and they stole a brand new bottle of cologne. Wonderful. Never going back to that dealer for anything. |

Well I went to another dealer, the lady there was much more helpful.
She looked up the part, and stated she needs to call BMW to get the part number. She took my number and will call me back. She did give me a bag of 4 anchors, but she said she didnt think those where the right ones, but she gave them to me to try out. Now, for those of you with the anchors for the all weather mats, do yours have a screw underneath, or a T shape plastic piece. The one's she gave me have the T shape. |

The velco hexagonal pad/screw is for the carpetted mats. The all-weather anchors are hexagonal, have a wee hook on one side and a screw thread on the other. There are two places on the drivers mat to piece the hook through.

Can anyone post a picture of the anchor/screw?
I found a couple of long plastic screws and I'm not sure if those are the ones to secure the mats.

Enough to make me realize I did not get those.
My car came with the all weather mats but for a year, I've been fighting with trying to keep them from moving. 2 questions: 1) the part number in the bag... is that for the screws or for the mats? 2) are there holes in the floor already to screw those? Thanks for the pics.

Wow thanks, that confirms I the free one's i got are not the correct ones. The ones i got are made by that same company, but they dont have screws underneath, only a T-tab. My vendor is now giving me the run around, so I am going to return my mats, and buy a set from my dealer, they have the screws included!!
