ask mike@n54tuning i'm pretty sure he will give you a pretty good answer he resells everything BMS and is excellent on customer service as far as terry goes he is just as good as mike both those guys are highly regarded here in the forums.

btw: the dpfix is (mainly) just to prevent the computer fromm throwing an error when you are running catless downpipes or thats why most people buy it unless you are running a jb4.

The tech works on the car, if he lets it slide it likely slides...but if he brings it up with anyone else, your sa is the only potential advocate you have.

If you had half a brain or could search, cobb eliminates the check engine lights with stage 2 map.

He said it was not for you, he knows what he is saying.

It's like you walked into a head shop and asked which pipe is best for smoking weed. You can't be rude and sketchy when it comes to illegal stuff.

Why? Because information sells! If a salesperson can show how it works, why it works, and how it will affect you, will you be more likely to buy form that person than the guy that just gives you the standard one-liner?

That being said, I agree with mostly everyone on here - he wasn't be rude he was just being careful.

Burger tuning, does not give alot of info on their emails.

they do have alot of traffic im sure, but you cant use that as an excuse. Customer service is a staple to a business.

I agree with you 99%. As a sales person I understand the more you can tell someone about something the more likely they will buy from you. Its my life, its what I pay the bills off of, its how I feed my family. Were not all terrible people. Some cases where something that can be easily replicated or copied for a lower cost as a business person I would not let that out. We know Terry is a great guy, I cant think of a time where he hasnt treated me like a customer and a friend. I think keeping some stuff close to the chest is ok when it can keep a competitor at bay for just a small while.

OP I got the same crap answers from BMS when I sent an email about the same product. I just chalked it up as a vendor to never buy from because I could not get any tech info from them. Obviously they have so much business they can choose who they sell to. A lot of people are standing up for someone who gave them good service or are just fanboi's. I think your question was legit and inturn you were just blown off. I am sure this is not a popular opinion.

Never had a problem with insufficient info from their emails. Spent a long Sunday right before Christmas trading emails with Terry as he fine tuned the settings for my car based on its actual performance with the FMIC & fuel mix I use.

I ran a log sent it in then he responded with a change to make. Made the change did a test run sent in a fresh log, got another change back & so on.

I sent my request in for help on Sunday expecting to hear back on Monday but got a response in about 20 minutes. The car was dialed in very well thanks to BMS’s attention to customer service.

There is nothing special about my account with them to suggest I should get anything extra. Just have a JB4 G5/ISO, jack pad, spark plug socket & a pair of $1 decals. If they are treating me this well its hard to imagine that’s not business as usual for them.

Are you kidding me! How is it that you talk to a perspective customer in such a rude manner. Clearly it is his job to help with product questions and it is clear that Terry could care less. Just wanted to share this with everyone and hear your thoughts.

You were a bit rude on your second response... he is a busy guy and has a lot of customers to attend to... i would definitely not take it personally... I bought the JB4 from him, and i know a lot of people who have purchased other products for their car... awesome service.... if he has it i'd buy it from him... but if you have a question you'd like to expand on you should google it... his job is to answer questions... but you should know what you are getting before you look into just purchasing it.

Just to clarify something. You guys are asking a vendor about how to conduct illegal activity using competing vendor's product. Don't be dumb :P

Personally, I think you were a bit on the rude side. Also, there are some questions you don't ask...
