Got into a minor accident the other day..

I was going to the dealer to drop off the car for service when a some lady sporadically decides to put the car in reverse on the street.

WTF is she thinking??!?!!?!!?!

I beep the horn like crazy but her music was blasting and she doesn't hear anything and the next I know, BOOM, impact occurs.

Not alot of damage but clearly the hood/bumper/grills need replacement. I took the car to Fender Benders in Mineola, NY (Thanks to some friends and the Recommended install stop sticky in the NY tri state area section of the forum) and had it looked at. The owner said I definately needed a new bumper and hood. The hood is all F'ed up and the bumper is cracked near the hinge and hood. The hood is also jammed and won't open. I'm guessing the hinge is bent where it meets the clamp.

Looks like a time for me to upgrade. I've decided on M3 style e92 CF hood, and CF grilles but I'm confused as to what route to go with the front bumper. Should I go with M-tech, M3 replica bumper for e92, Vorsteiner areo or OEM aero lip with stock bumper? Any suggestions?

Pics are below. Thanks for the input!

I hope for you that she keep the same version for the police and insurance. Do you have something signed?

She said "oh, I wanted to make a right turn but didn't have enough room in the front so I needed to back up a little"

I said "could you fucking wait until the light turned green and for the car ahead of you to start moving before decided to reverse"

She replied "I was unaware of that"

I left it at that after wards, couldn't deal with her after that.

Yeah, I filed a police report and everything is written on there. She admitted fault so I'm good on that.

Sucks, but at least she admitted fault and didn't cause further drama and there's no structural damage. Good luck with the upgrades!

Haha, yeah she lives in Roslyn Heights. I went this morning and spoke with Anthony, he was a really cool guy. He himself asked me "Would you want an M-tech front bumper?" I was like , HELL YEAH!!

What kind of music was she playing? She might have been driving under the influence of music.

Silver lining is that she admitted her fault and you can do the upgrades.

Haha, I think it was some sort of asian rock n roll. She was korean and she had the punk/rocker type look with black hair and crazy red highlights.

its good she admitted right away. thats such a PITA to deal with. totally retarded

for your front bumper choices, i wouldnt go with the m3. and since you need a new bumper, i think you should go with the m-tech instead of buying a NEW stock bumper and a lip ON TOP of that

Nice, you got a sweet deal! I hope I'll get the bumper and hood replaced too! Trying hard to go for M-tech and Vorsteiner hood

Yeah I know, she was a total retard. I felt as if I argued, I'd be talking to a hollow tree.

The body shop guy told me the exact same thing. He asked if I wanted M-tech, I was like "sureee" haha. We'll see what happens on Thursday when the Adjuster goes to the bodyshop to check out the car.

Tell me about it. Time consuming, going back and forth with insurance, taking time off from work, etc etc.
