I pulled the car into the garage this morning and did the golf tee mod. Was expecting a pretty noticeable difference but to me it does not sound any louder. Anyone else do it and feel there was not much of a change at all?

Haha no worries man, I'm with you. My mother 122 17"s on her 2008 335i Coupe, If her winter tires weren't needing to be replaced next year, I'd 100% offer to swap wheels/tires with her.

I did the other one with pulling the plug on the actuator, the difference is definitely not as noticeable as I was expecting from hearing it on non-ISs but it kinda makes sense due to having a louder exhaust from factory. With that being said, I'd like to say that I could still hear a difference at low to mid RPMs.

Another bay area owner here. Have the car a little over a year now and wouldn't mind having it for the next 20 The new BMWs have less charisma and lost hydraulic steering. Honestly think this is one of the nicest coupes around and probably will be for the next few years. At the time I was buying I did not find much footage on how the stock exhaust sounds so thought I would help out a bit. I picked up a GoPro and bought an external mic. In this video the GoPro is on the roof and mic right above the exhaust. A few weeks ago there was a fun moment on one of the red lights on that road in the video. Three 335is waiting at the same red light, LMB/AW/TiAG. Too bad there was no time for pics!

I have the same 159s with ts810s which I can't stand... The torque kills them and I'm slipping everywhere...

Thanks man, I'm actually running Blizzak LM-60s on mine, so far so good.

I'd like to think I got a pretty good deal. I originally went out looking for a 335i xDrive Coupe (preferably with the M-Sport package), and kept coming across 2010s and 2011s with 50-60,000kms on them, for around $35,000 plus GST. The problem was that they all had claims in their history running from $12-20,000. I found the 335is with both summer and winter sets of wheels and tires, 3M clear bra, Executive Pack, Nav, etc. with 31,000kms and warranty left until November 2014 for $42,900 plus GST. I ended up paying $38,500 all in. Calgary BMW actually has two 2011 335is right now, neither with nav or winter tires and both with more mileage than mine, and they've got them listed at $43,900.

Anyone fit APEX ARC-8's? looking at 18x9 F and 18x10 R, but even going conservative on tire, rubbing is risk and not looking to roll fenders.

With IS 10mm lower in front than 335, additional rubbing risk
